A one state solution, with equal rights for everyone and a right to return for Palestinians, is the only viable solution. It's not anymore impossible than a two-state solution, which Israel also won't allow happen. They have to be forced with sanctions and divestment.
Thank you for this excellent podcast. I agree on the two-state solution, which must begin now. Trying to find a way to contribute, I support Standing Together, an Israeli-based organization comprised of both Jews and Palestinians which supports "peace, justice, and independence for Israelis and Palestinians."
The two-state solution is and always has been a lie. Israel has never intended for it to come to fruition. Just listen to Netanyahu say it himself over and over for years. The Zionist project has always intended to take all of Palestine and the plan hasn't changed.
Palestine can't be a viable state with a few tiny, separate islands within Israel and hundreds of thousands of Jewish settlers, from North America, Europe and other countries, filling the West Bank. Ever heard of South African Bantustans? That's what you're advocating for.
Israel has already taken more of Gaza as a so-called buffer zone and has plans to create settlements in Gaza.
Excellent choice of panel participants and an important perspective on the issues involved in this highly emotional topic. Good questions asked and discussion guided. Nate, stay on !
