Although I’m a BC resident, it’s been a pleasure to watch your inspiring, principled political career over the last few years. Congratulations on the conclusion of the current chapter and the beginning of a well-deserved sojourn to reflect on what comes next.
I echo what others have said regarding the need for your integrity and spirit in politics at all levels. Personally, I hope you can continue the podcast alongside whatever pursuits pay your bills. Ideas change the world, and your podcast is a wellspring for them! If you aren’t already aware, Chrystia Freeland recently released a book about wealth inequality that I think aligns with your ethics and would make for a compelling interview 😉 At any rate, it’s food for thought!
Whatever the future holds for you, we’ll be fortunate to benefit from your passion and sincerity in whatever activity you invest them in. Thanks for everything, Nate! 😌🙏🏼
Thank you for all the people first policy and bringing integrity into politics. I watched your final speech in the H of C and was very moved. It is rare to have a politician who seeks to make change for the betterment of citizens first and doesn’t compromise values to do it.
I think your progressive politics would be welcomed under the NDP tent and moving forward, I hope it’s not the last we have seen of your leadership in politics. I am convinced, we have NOT seen the last of you in the House of Commons.
Enjoy the summer with family and friends and know that Canadians truly appreciate all you’ve done to make life better for us all. Thank you🇨🇦
Nate, thank you so very much for your excellent public service! I respect your decision to step down. However, I truly believe you have still lot to offer. Your thoughts and ideas, observation, understanding issues and perspectives resonates with many Canadian liberals. Your involvement will continue to be inspirational, particularly for the constituents of Beaches East York riding and Scarborough Southest riding. I hope and believe you will remain active in any form of public service for serving the interest of Canadians. I will remain in touch with you.
Nate, please do not run for municipal politics. You deserve a place on the Supreme Court of Canada. That is the only place I personally see your ethics being honoured. Thank you again for making me believe in honest politicians.
Please consider running for city councillor. We've had great representation from you at the Federal level. Ward 19 has been underrepresented since 2018 and would benefit from your voice and critical thinking skills.
Good luck in your future pursuits, but stand ready to run for Prime Minister one day. We all need your leadership and amazing energy.
You’ve given a decade of your life to public service. That’s about a decade more than the rest of us. Thank you.
And having said that, should you have a change of heart it would please me greatly and I’d be pleased and honoured to be asked to help in any way.
Best of luck in the next chapter of your life . I hope you stay in politics in some form as you have so much to offer .

Whatever it is you decide to do, I’m sure you’ll bring the same commitment and integrity to it that you brought to Parliament Hill …

My very best wishes for you.
Noodle it Nate. If you give yourself some time you will find the right thing for now. BTW - journalism does not pay.
Thanks Nate from Vancouver Island. Good luck on your next adventure 💐
Run for Mayor!!!
