Keeping this dispatch simple as we’re out installing signs and knocking doors, with a fundraiser tonight.
So here’s a quick rundown of what to know with 25 days to go in the campaign.
Request a lawn sign here or by texting 416 884 4453 with your address.
Today is the first day we can put up signs. Your support at the ballot box matters most, but signs help with visibility and encourage others to participate. Request a lawn sign!
Advance voting next week: Tuesday October 6 to Sunday October 11.
There are two advance voting locations in our ward, open 10 am to 7 pm.
Secord Community Centre: 91 Barrington Ave
Beaches Rec Centre: 6 Williamson Rd
If you need help with voting, please email contact@votenate.ca or text 416 884 4453.

Ideas and policy.
There are many surveys and Q&As on different issues, but I still find the best community outreach to be door knocking and individual conversations.
You can read our platform of ideas here (please add your own ideas too, if we’re missing anything).
There’s also my Beach Metro Q&A, which offered a good amount of space to get into the issues.
And we’ve started to put out more policy-focused videos too (more to come).
Community and all-candidate events.
There’s no substitute for knocking on doors, but we’ve also been active at all-candidate and community events from the East Lynn Farmer’s market to Crescent Town to an Indigenous Legacy Gathering at City Hall.
There will be another all-candidates meet and greet this coming Monday October 5 at Beach United. Doors open at 6:30 pm and we’ll be there until 9 pm.
If there is a community event you think I should be at, please let us know at contact@votenate.ca.
Who do you trust?
I was asked recently by a reporter what I think the ballot question is.
I’m knocking on doors talking about city building (housing, transit, etc.) and about getting the basics right on responsive and excellent city services.
In the end, though, I think the question is a simple one: who do you trust to be your voice at City Hall? Who do you trust to be effective, principled, and to set politics aside to get things done for our community?
I hope to earn your trust. And I hope you’ll join us.
