Thank you for your trust.
There is nothing more important than trust in politics. So thank you for your trust.
I worked hard to be a principled and effective voice for you in Ottawa, and I promise to bring that same approach to City Hall: hard work, ideas, honesty, and integrity.
Special thanks to all of you who encouraged me, and who stood with us through the campaign. None of this happens without you. We have an amazing local team.

We worked hard, kept it positive, and it was an exciting finish. Knowing how much work goes into these races, I want to thank the other candidates and their teams too.
Name recognition helps in politics, but it's nothing without trust. We succeeded here because we earned the trust of our community. We won’t take that trust for granted, and we’ll keep working hard to earn it all over again.
Above all, thanks to my family. I’m looking forward to being close to home while still looking after our east end community and making a difference through public service.

Now the real work starts. And we’re ready to hit the ground running.
There is a huge opportunity to make a difference at City Hall.
We live in a great city with big challenges: housing and homelessness, transit and congestion, affordability, public safety, protecting our environment, and more.
I’m ready to bring my federal experience to help Mayor Chow with this important city-building work.
As I said from the start of the campaign, I supported Mayor Chow’s re-election because she puts politics aside and gets things done. She listens effectively and acts decisively.
While we come from different political backgrounds, we got a lot done together for our City in my short but productive time as the Housing Minister. And I know we’ll get even more done over the next four years.
We are ready to hit the ground running with a progressive City Council. And there’s a lot of work to do.
We are here to help.
Most importantly, we are here to help.
That means standing up for our community at City Hall, it means proactively improving every corner of our ward, and it means answering the call when you have a problem to solve.
Our community deserves a responsive City Councillor who will engage and act thoughtfully as a local problem solver.
And that’s exactly what we’ll do.
Knocking on doors through the campaign, I met many constituents who had received help from my team and I at the federal level. We weren’t always perfect, but we’ve helped a great many people over the years.
And every one of those conversations was a reminder of why we do this in the first place.
If there’s an issue you want me to be a voice for, or if there’s a challenge you face with a city service, know that we are here to help.
You can expect us to open a new constituency office on Danforth soon and we’ll have a great team ready to serve you. When you need help, I will answer the call.

Pretty depressing to see a guy wearing an Arafat scarf standing in front of Nate. I can only guess what he expects in return for his support.
We are so fortunate to have you as our City Councillor. Your heart is in the right place and I'm confident that you'll represent us as best you can, given the limitations that will confront you.
