Nate, you will be back. Thank you for this time you spent as our MP. Your honesty and Integrity will be missed, perhaps not by those who dared not speak up, but for many people you are truly the kind of man our country needs. I believe you will return to politics. May it be with the same dignity for which you are revered.
I have supported you, with election campaign contributions and efforts since you were nominated, not because I am a Liberal (I'm not a member of any party) but because I agree with, and enjoy, many of your ideas and initiatives, and I find you to be a person of good character and thoughtfulness, even if I don't always find all your colleagues similar. I have greatly appreciated you Uncommons podcasts and community presentations, you, your guests and my fellow attendees. You may want to leave elected life for a while, reconnect with non political work, and prioritize your family and your professional development for a few years.
Nate, I hope that you continue and even increase your efforts to reduce the suffering caused by our species to non-human animals.
If you do become a city councillor, please give attention to Nucro-Technics Inc., a toxicology animal research laboratory that causes terrible suffering to dogs and other animals right here in Toronto. And how about banning rodent glue traps and foie gras within the City of Toronto?
Thank you for your service in Parliament. You have been a rare politician, a person of true integrity.
Great words, Nate. Enjoyed having you as my MP and getting to know you then and after. Won’t be in town for your send off. Looking forward to what’s next.

An honest and heartfelt speach from a politician. Who would have thunk it? You didn’t let the bastards grind you down. Vencerẽmos!
