Congratulations on a very solid win. It was wonderful to watch the Liberals win a fourth term last night and I wish you and all your colleagues well at this difficult time for Canada.
Congratulations to you and to yours Nate--again! Your development over the decade into the role of an excellent and ever so promising parliamentarian must be noted. Let us look to unity of the country, all compass points, with this new government--it was so missing for decades and played upon with unfortunate results by the previous government. Canada strong--together!
Congrats Nate a well deserved win! Just throwing it out there but maybe last night's results might create some common ground on some serious talk about election reform? I know I know we have a lot of other serious issues to tackle but we cant keep putting this off in my humble opinion.
Agree with you Christopher but as I recall, PM Trudeau tried to get electoral reform through in his first term but there was no consensus with the other parties. This will be the most challenging thing - and if possible there may need to be a referendum on what kind of electoral reform. 1, 2 and 3 in the order of preference seems good to me. I’m sure you’re more informed so let me know if you have any good links that explain this clearly. 🙂
Congratulations to Nate Erskine Smith on your well-deserved election victory! Your commitment, hard work, and dedication to serving the community have truly paid off. It’s inspiring to see someone with integrity and a clear vision take on such an important role. I have great confidence that you will represent our voices with honesty, passion, and fairness. May your term be filled with positive change, progressive decisions, and continued service to the people. Wishing you success in all your efforts as our new Member of Parliament. Once again, congratulations and best wishes for a bright and impactful journey ahead!
Congratulations Nate. You have worked hard to establish yourself, and gain respect for your efforts. You have earned the right to serve your region.
Now I am hoping the two major parties can work together to serve Team Canada while we are facing some critical challenges both with our southern neighbour and globally. We need Statesmen more than politicians. I believe that you can deliver on that mandate.
I would recommend reading Jody Wilson-Raybould’s book Indian in the Cabinet. I think she has some great insight on how the system should change based on her experiences.
