Hi Nate,

We were disappointed to see that you won't be steering the housing portfolio again but we are happy that your voice will be in Parliament still and looking forward to the podcast insights. Thanks for your public service Nate. You have a real impact!.

I’ve been a fan because you spoke up when you didn’t agree with PMJT. I was happy when PMMC asked you to run again. You worked extremely successfully on the Housing File & fully expected you’d be asked to continue. It made me sad! You have a young family & I know families make sacrifices with an MP partner&parent. Hopefully your talents will be recognized & rewarded soon! Voted for you as ON Lib leader. Good luck Sir!

I hope you use that new sense of freedom well. Personally, I am angry that someone like you has been overlooked while someone like Evan Solomon has been rewarded.

Nate to quote another politician who lost an election in the US “This is a disappointment, but it is not a failure.” Please hold on to that thought. So many of us see your potential and value your hard work. Another thought is THINGS CHANGE - we might see you in an important position yet!

I was disappointed to see that you will not continue in the role that you took on so wholeheartedly. I believe you are ready to take on bigger roles and I feel pretty certain that those opportunities will arise again. Meantime, it will be summer in the Beaches! Not a bad time or place to regroup. All the best from a (former) constituent.

Disappointing, yes, but I don’t think you’re done yet. You got me interested in politics in the first place when you ran for Ontario Liberal leader. Your honesty, courage, and commitment to real solutions have always stood out.

I know this isn’t the role you hoped for, but your voice still carries weight, and your work matters more than ever. Looking forward to the next chapter, on the podcast, and beyond. We still need leaders like you pushing for bold action, especially on housing. Keep going. We’re still with you.

Thank you for sharing your honest reaction to the new cabinet. I am also disappointed and surprised that you were not among those named, particularly on the housing file. Appreciate your positive attitude and hope there are opportunities ahead for you to contribute your expertise which is so much needed. All the best!

I’m just as disappointed (almost I guess). You are a superb voice in the H of C and I contributed to your campaign even though I’m not in your riding. I’m certain the future will be even brighter.

I could not agree with you more Nate. The decision to leave you out of the cabinet is disrespectful and just plain wrong.

You did accomplish so much in such a short time. As a former Hill journalist I thought politics had turned a corner when an independent minded MP who had the integrity to speak up for what he felt was right was appointed to cabinet. I guess not.

Like so many others, I too, am disappointed that you were not reassigned the Housing portfolio. The silver lining remains your opportunity to stay engaged and holding the government's feet to the fire.

We NEED principled individuals with community-focused values, and your voice is very important in speaking up for all Canadians, even if it ruffles feathers and keeps your peers honest.

Speak up for what's right and you'll never go wrong.

I was inspired by the reports you shared with Canadians as the cabinet minister for housing. I am firmly convinced that the only way we will resolve our current housing crisis is to treat housing as homes and not as investments. Furthermore, the Government must build housing directly. The Government cannot simply shift responsibility for housing to the private sector.

Disappointed on this outcome. Was very much hoping you would continue on this important file as your pragmatic leadership / DNA is required more than ever by Canadians.
